George Fraser

George Fraser and his wife, Pat, also a physical therapist, own and operate Fifty 'n Fit, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM. Fifty ‘n Fit is unique in its combination of fitness center exclusively for the 50-plus population, and outpatient physical therapy practice treating all ages.
George has over 45 years' experience as a physical therapist, graduating from Northeastern University, Boston, with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1973. His experience includes 22 years with Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, as staff therapist at Presbyterian Hospital, then as Rehab Director for Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, and finally as Outpatient Rehab Director for the Presbyterian Healthcare system.
The past 19 years as owner of Fifty ‘n Fit, Inc. have been some of the most enjoyable of George’s career. In addition to designing a comprehensive exercise program for every member at Fifty ‘n Fit – based on each member’s medical and orthopedic history and personal fitness goals – George has designed and teaches a monthly Osteoporosis Education series and a Balance Training and Fall Prevention series.

President’s Message

The Osteoporosis Foundation of New Mexico is dedicated to improving the bone health of New Mexicans through osteoporosis education and research. Despite the availability of tests to diagnose osteoporosis and many treatments to reduce the risk of breaking bones, osteoporosis remains a disease that is under-diagnosed and under-treated. You can help by learning more about osteoporosis and participating in osteoporosis educational events. Be an advocate for bone health by telling others what you have learned. Please consider making a donation to the foundation to help support its mission.
