Osteoporosis Support Group

We discuss the evaluation, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Subjects covered include diet, exercise, vitamins, calcium, medications, "complementary" and "integrative" medicine. Educational information will be presented by experts, and tips will be shared by those who have personal experience with osteoporosis. You will hear how others have learned to cope with disability and pain from osteoporotic fractures. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and ask all the questions you always wanted to ask, in a friendly informal setting.

The Benefits of T'ai Chi Chih that relates to Osteoporosis and Balance

Molly Grady

I grew up in a military family and have lived in many geographic areas of the world. I lived in Albuquerque since1968. I received my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UNM in 1975. I started Serendipity Day School which is the first school in the state committed to fully including children with disabilities. It was named after my niece, Sarah Dixon, who was born with spina bifida. I am glad to say she is doing great and so is Serendipity Day school.
I have always been interested in dance and started taking classes in T'ai Chi Chi in 1994. I became an Accredited T'ai Chi Chi Teacher in 2004.
I have enjoyed working with seated students and cancer patients. I currently teach once a week at the Palo Duro Senior Center. As time allows, I will offer more classes in a variety of settings, including the VA.
